BLOG OF THE WEEK #4 - The Cinematic Katzenjammer

The Cinematic Katzenjammer (also known as CineKatz through twitter) is a fresh and taut review site that looks so professional that I debated with myself whether or not to make it this week's Blog of the Week, but it was so good that it had to be done.

With its sharp red look, well-written reviews and up-to-date movie news, it's hard not to engage yourself in what CineKatz has to offer, and with a rating system like that, how could I, lover of the rating system turn away from a blog like this.

It may not have 'blogspot' or 'wordpress' plastered all over it like most blogs (like myself), and have the usual drab layout, but it's those points exactly which provide this "soon to be a famous site" vibe to it, and that vibe alone is what keeps you there, making you read reviews one after the other, and what tickled my taste-buds was the review on You're Next which really sent me on the search for other horror reviews.

Sure, it may feel a little familiar, like a lot of the other movie review sites out there, but in a sense, it feels different, and it works. Though it does apply the familiar template, it isn't afraid to add its own personality to it, and that it does, and does it with grace and style.

There is nothing left I can say, other than the fact that this is a well-crafted review blog that branches out to something original whilst maintaining the original shape of a lot of other movie sites, CineKatz knows what it is, and that is what makes it so good.
