'Scream 5' Splits the Weinstein Brothers: Will it Happen?

Indiewire got a word in with Harvey Weinstein, one half of the brothers behind Dimension, and behind the iconic and brilliant Scream Franchise. In the interview Harvey reportedly is still pushing to get Scream 5 made, though Bob, his brother and the other half doesn't want it to happen; Say what Bob?! So it's clear, I have made a new enemy, who comes in the form of Bob Weinstein.

Weinstein said that he’s urging his brother Bob, who heads Dimension Films, to make Scream 5 a reality. “Everyone lived in Scream 4,” he said, explaining that all the characters could return for another run-in with Ghostface.

BLOG OF THE WEEK #9 - LIGHTS CAMERA REACTION

Lights Camera Reaction, a well-constructed and involving movie review site that is fresh on the eyes and for a read. Coming across this through a comment from one of the writers, I journeyed through a site that was to be one of the most involving I have been on in a long time; perhaps not by the layout but by the fantastic rating system that had be inching to rate all the horror films I have seen with a grade score of A+ to F. I could not get over how professional this looked, and now I have never heard about it before.

The reviews are well written and the layout is basic, but the involving mannerisms is what kept me there; sure I wanted to find out Jack's opinions on the recent horror films, but I was so interested in rating all the different aspects of films with grades that I forgot why I was there in the first place. Sure, it was the rating system that kept me there, but the rest of it was a high standard with a strong professional feel to it, and that I liked.

It's all really impressive for a blog I have never came across before, so I was interested to see what it brought to the table, and although it was nothing new, it was still very interesting to look at, but I mean these days nothing is original really. Guys, check it out and I was guaranteeing you will find yourself scooping through, grading the films you hate and the ones you love. I want to know how it's all done! WHAT IS YOUR SECRET!

'Sleepy Hollow: "Blood Moon" (Episode 1.02)' TV Review

The second episode of the start-up first season of Sleepy Hollow premiered a couple of days back and it was only now that I got my hands on the latest episode, slickly named 'Blood Moon'. The Pilot episode set a pretty high bar to beat for the upcoming episodes, and Ep. 2 unfortunately didn't reach the heights of the first episode.

If you feel like you still haven't got enough of Coven to last you until the release in early October then indulge in the Main title sequence of the new series! It's cool, like, really cool, but not so cool that I could watch it again. Here it is folks!

TV Spot Anyone? Here's the first for 'American Horror Story: Coven' PLUS New Teaser!

Excited for Coven yet? No, well then sorry (not sorry) for the frequent updates on the show, but like most people out there, excited is an understatement. Week after Week AHS has been pouring out the goods in bucket-fulls, and now we hit a double whammy, The first (yes first!) TV Spot that displays nothing but fresh (actual) footage from the show, and another teaser, making it the tenth (I think, correct me if i'm wrong). Both a good, but the Spot is a great look into what the show is to bring us come October.

When the show is released I will be doing a review per episode so look out for them folks; now, enjoy the videos below!

Check out this Set of Fantastic New Posters for 'American Horror Story: Coven' !!

Over 300 years have passed since the turbulent days of the Salem witch trials and those who managed to escape are now facing extinction. Mysterious attacks have been escalating against their kind and young girls are being sent away to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves. Wrapped up in the turmoil is new arrival, Zoe (Taissa Farmiga), who is harboring a terrifying secret of her own. Alarmed by the recent aggression, Fiona (Jessica Lange), the long-absent Supreme, sweeps back into town, determined to protect the Coven and hell-bent on decimating anyone who gets in her way.

'Sleepy Hollow: "Pilot" (Episode 1.01)' TV Review

Sleepy Hollow, the once beloved horror film about a headless horseman chasing after Johnny Depp has now become a Fox TV Series, and despite being a little skeptical about watching it, I gave it a try and so far I have not regretted it (bare in mind, the season has just started).

Horror has gone into the age of Television, the genre is starting to grow within the small screen like never before, it's shows like The Walking Dead, American Horror Story and even Hannibal that are cementing a successful root for the genre into the world of Television, and with Friday the 13th rumors and the Scream announcement the genre is only getting bigger. So whatever genius decided sticking a few headless killers, a time travelling warrior and an unconventional leading lady onto the small screen based of a famous and loved story should be rewarded hugely for their courage, as Sleepy Hollow is pure brilliance.

The New, Disgustingly Great Promo for 'American Horror Story: Coven'

Even if Coven turns out to be poor, at least we can always look back at how amazingly awesome their teasers are; and boy do they tease. Loosing count on the teasers as there has been many, the new one is sure to make you feel all yucky inside, and as you watch the minor event take place, you will almost feel it go down your throat; ugh!

'See No Evil 2' Adds Danielle Harris & Katharine Isabelle to its Cast

The upcoming Sequel to the WWE Studios Slasher See No Evil, Directed by the amazingly talented Soska Sisters (American Mary, Dead Hooker in a Trunk) has just cast two new scream queens to the promising sequel. Both Danielle Harris (Halloween, Hatchet) and Katharine Isabelle (American Mary, Ginger Snaps) have joined the project, making it look even more as hopeful as before. The pair may not make the film "good", and that's if it will be, but it's on the right tracks to becoming a sequel to look out for. Fingers crossed folks.

See No Evil 2 revives the nightmare of the first film when Jacob Goodnight rises from the dead in the city morgue after his killing spree at the Blackwell Hotel. In this ominous, underground locker for the dead, a group of medical students fight to survive as the deranged psychopath once again starts to pick them apart one by one.

'Insidious: Chapter 3' Officially Announced... Really?

Having yet seen Chapter 2, and not being a fan of the first, this news effects me in the slightest, and the small part that is effected, is all in a negative manner. Before I go on give me a second to rant... GOD DAMN MONEY STEALERS!! Well, taking in a whopping 41 million over the friday the 13th weekend, I am not surprised at the least that another (unnecessary) sequel is happening.

So, how do you feel about Chapter 3? In fact, what's your opinion on Chapter 2? Ahh who am I kidding, I am not looking forward to this or Chapter 2 one bit, well if it brings in the big bucks then why not.

AMC to Launch Second 'The Walking Dead' Series

After 10 years of writing the comic book series and being so close to the debut of our fourth, and in my opinion, best season of the TV series, I couldn't be more thrilled about getting the chance to create a new corner of The Walking Dead universe,” said Kirkman. “The opportunity to make a show that isn't tethered by the events of the comic book, and is truly a blank page, has set my creativity racing.

Kirkman is clearly excited about the new project, as am I, but are you? I mean it might take away from the focus and impact of the first Walking Dead Season, but it might be fresh to see the life of others in the same world; come to think of it, that might be really good. Well were are just going to have to wait until 2015 to find out.

The 'Carrie' Remake 'Don't Go to the Prom' Featurette from Total Film

The brand new featurette for the remake of Carrie was leaked online a couple of weeks ago, but it's wasn't until now that we have got the actual HD featurette that resurrects a few familiar pointers but also delivers plenty of new footage that might just have us that little bit more excited for the release. Excuse my words from before, but this is really getting my taste buds tingling for Carrie.

Hitting the big screen on October, and November in the UK, there has still been a lot of mystery lingering around the remake of Carrie, and just when you thought now was the time for the good news to start rolling in, you get this; a pointless character photo of Sue Snell who will probably die before an hour into the film. Ah well, here it is anyways for you, Enjoy (*sigh)...

BLOG OF THE WEEK #6 - RHINO'S HORROR

Stumbling across this accidentally I was completely shocked (in a good way) with how well-developed and structured both visually and with the writing this blog was. Rhino's Horror is a smart blog that delivers the "horror that matters", and Ryan, the man behind it isn't telling fibs with that little quote because let's be honest, who wants to here news about some 20 year old horror comic? Exactly.

Bury Yourself in another 'AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN' Teaser

After looking and loving the extremely twisted American Horror Story Coven poster, I have had nothing but extreme high hopes for the third season, and although I know I will take a great liking to it as it's one of the perks of being a fan of the Series I can tell that Coven just may be the strongest of them all; we will have to wait and see, but in the mean-time, take a peek at this fifth teaser.

TWD fans rejoice, we have got a Brand New and First poster for the 4th upcoming season of the hit zombie TV Series The Walking Dead! 10 Terrifying Movie Masks

 The Animal Masks - You're Next (2013)
After the buzz and recently watching the slick home-invasion horror, I absolutely loved it, and what I loved most was the downright creepy masks 'The Animals' were wearing. Each mask is frightening in it's own right, and when you see what's behind the sheep mask, believe me it becomes the creepiest of them all despite it's cute first approach; That guy is the scariest, believe me.

The Dolls & Sack Mask (The Strangers)
Back in 2008, The Strangers continued the trend the home-invasion sub-genre was setting, and despite a mediocre delivery for many, The Strangers was able to deliver a trio of frightening villains who pranced around wearing the creepiest masks you will ever see on screen. You think they look scary in this picture just watch the film and come back to me.

BLOG OF THE WEEK #5 - KILLER FILM

Back in 2011 when I ran FiveStarScream, I was fully aware of what Killer Film was, and I loved the site ever since then, in fact I used their star rating back then (guilty, sorry..). Recently I discover Killer Film once again after a year and it reminded me of how much I loved that site. Killer Film is a soon-to-be famous horror site that will surely fulfill the needs of those in seek of a good horror read.
