Review - The Upper Footage (2013)

The Question is "is it Real or is it Fake?" But that's the Catch.

Director: Justin Cole
Running Time: 90 mins
Sub-Genre: Found Footage
Release: 2013

'THE UPPER FOOTAGE' is the first film experience of its kind. The film is an edited version of 393 minutes of recovered footage documenting a young girl's tragic overdose death and subsequent cover up by a group of affluent socialites. What started as a blackmail plot played out over YouTube, became Hollywood's biggest drug scandal, turned into a heavily controversial film property that was rumored to be held by some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Now, after playing itself out in the media for 3 years it is finally making its way to the public.

The First Teaser Trailer for 'Oculus' Looks Intense and Creepy

Yesterday the first Official theatrical poster for the upcoming horror from the Producers of Paranormal Activity and Insidious Oculus was released, and today, the first ever trailer has been released today, and although it looks fairly generic for its sub-genre, it also looks very creepy. Check it out.

New 'The Walking Dead Season 4' Preview Displays the Dark Tracks the Show will be Following

Season 4 is set to return on the 9th of February, and what a way to celebrate so by releasing a 4 minute long preview that is enough to make any fan drool at the mouth. This featurette is brilliant, and it presents enough goods to just make you want to hibernate until the date of the return. Hopefully the second half won't take a turn for the worst just like Coven, but I highly doubt that will happen as Kirkman and co. know when to kill off a character and not to bring them back every 5 minutes. Ryan Murphy needs to get his shit together because he is loosing his game by the episode.

Anyways, here is the fantastic preview below. Ps. fans, make sure your mouth is closed to stop yourself from drooling all over your keyboard.

Bloody Disgusting Get their hands on a Brand New 'Oculus' Poster

Bloody Disgusting presented to us the brand new poster for the critically-acclaimed upcoming horror Oculus that is due a release on April 11th. The film was raved about at the Toronto Film Festival so we should expect big things from this one. However, seeing the WWE Studios sign at the bottom right of the poster makes me doubt the films ability, as that studio do nothing but release complete garbage. Anyways, I'm looking forward to it, and judging by this creepy poster, I think you should be too.

American Horror Story: Coven Episode 3.10 'The Magical Delights of Stevie Nicks' & Episode 3.11 'Protect the Coven'

Episode 10 - The Magical Delights of Stevie

Fiona attempts to out the new Supreme with a visit from Stevie Nicks. Cordelia learns the truth about Hank and the Witch Hunters. Madison tries to eliminate her competition for the Supremacy.
The Magical Delights of Stevie Nicks played like a filler that was only there to slow the story down a pace or two. I have seen enough TV Shows to be able to identify when the writers are just doing something not just for the sake of doing it, but for the sake of slowing the narrative down just because things are moving too fast.

Eli Roth's 'Clown' Gets its First Trailer, and it looks Terrifying

A few years ago, Eli Roth directed a fake trailer called ‘Clown,’ which teased a non-existent movie about a family man who finds himself transforming into a demonic clown. Now, this disturbing concept has become a reality. After the mild success of Stitches which I thought was an absolute horrible movie, it is no surprise that another horror clown feature is making its way to screens; actually, i'm surprised it hasn't been sooner. Whilst we sit here waiting patiently on the upcoming remake of Stephen King's IT (which still hasn't seemed to have left development yet) here is the newest upcoming clown horror from Eli Roth (The Green Inferno, Hostel, Cabin Fever), literally called Clown.

Is this your standard B-Movie flop horror about a killer clown? Maybe (but it has been getting a lot of recognition from mainstream movie sites), but I have a terrible fear of clowns, and I can safely say that this, looks terrifying. Check out the trailer below.

While on the run to Mexico, Seth and Richie encounter former pastor Jacob Fuller (Robert Patrick) and his family, whom they take hostage.  Using the family RV to cross the border, chaos ensues when the group detours to a strip club that is populated by vampires.  They are forced to fight until dawn in order to get out alive.

2013: Best to Worst Horror Films

2013 has been and gone, and although it didn't promise as much as what 2014 seems to offer, the horror genre really made an improvement by displaying an impressive year for the genre. Here is my list of horror films (including ones with horror elements) that I watched made for 2013, ranked from best to worst. Let me know what you think of the list in the comment section below, and were you would rank films.
