Review - The Walking Dead 4.11 "Claimed"

Michonne and Mullet Mayhem

As Rick is faced against a gang of marauders, Glenn and Tara are brought together with three survivors on an important mission."Claimed" in some ways is the definitive episode that moves the show along, and whilst we finally see them all heading for somewhere, the character development in this episode just proves that The Walking Dead is right on track and moving swiftly in the right direction.

Fresh Bloody Stump 'Cheap Thrills' Poster

“Cheap Thrills follows Craig (Pat Healy), a struggling family man who loses his low-wage job and is threatened with eviction. In an effort to delay facing the music at home, he heads to a local bar and encounters an old friend (Ethan Embry). The two friends are roped into a round of drinks by a charismatic and obscenely wealthy stranger (David Koechner) along with his mysterious wife (Sara Paxton). The couple engages the two friends in a series of innocent dares in exchange for money over the course of the evening, with each challenge upping the ante in both reward and boundaries. It seems like easy and much needed money, but the couple’s twisted sense of humor pushes just how far Craig and his friend are willing to go for money and cheap thrills.

Review - The Walking Dead 4.10 "Inmates"

"If you Don't have Hope, What's the point in Living?"

The survivors of the prison assault must decide to survive on their own or try reuniting with each other.

Episode 10 'Inmates' proved to be a thought-provoking one, not in the sense that it's smart which it kinda is, but in the sense that it gets those gears in your brain functioning, making you stir up thoughts on the future of each of these characters, what will happen to them, and most of all what they will become (hint hint). Be prepared for Spoiler ahoy as I dive into the deep end and talk about all those moments that got me engaged in the story, and I mean all the best stuff is spoiler material so if you don't like it turn the other way. Let's continue shall we?

New Poster for Upcoming Ghost-Tale 'Oculus'

Doctor Who's Karen Gillian stars in the upcoming horror Oculus that is set for U.S release 14th April this year, and at this point it's so far so good. The new poster just screams derivative, maybe not the design, but the whole "from the producers of Paranormal Activity and Insidious' thing is seriously getting old. Is this what horror cinema has turned into? Is this ALL that audiences crave? Repetition? Tedium? Recycled Ideas? Well this film was most likely made off the money both those films made so blame yourself if this sucks.

Jessica Alba Joins 'The Veil' Next to Thomas Jane

Jessica-Alba-in-The-Eye-horror-movies-7102568-1500-997
Hollywood Beauty Jessica Alba known for her mainstream films such as Fantastic Four and Sin City joins the horror The Veil from the producers of The Purge and Paranormal Activity. The film is set to start shooting as early as April so expect it to arrive 2015. The actress joins the cast which already features Thomas Jane, no matter how big your cast is, you can't stop another derivative idea from hitting theaters and cashing in the big bucks. I suppose don't fix what's not broken, but for me its has been broken for a long time.

Phil Joanou is on board to direct the pic, which has a script by Robert Ben Garant, a co-writer on the Night of the Museum

The Veil revolves around members of a religious cult known as Heaven’s Veil who take their own lives. The truth behind what really happened remains buried deep in the memory of the sole survivor, a five-year-old girl, who returns to the compound with a documentary crew as an adult. They soon discover something that is far more terrifying than anything they could have imagined.

The First Trailer for 'The Purge: Anarchy' Teases a Wider Horizon

The first trailer for the upcoming sequel The Purge: Anarchy was released by Universal today, and although I wasn't a fan of the first, it's hard not to appreciate what this film looks to begin, and i'm glad that justice with (hopefully) be done with this large and quite spectacular storyline that the first one failed to cover properly. Listen, we all wanted to see The Purge leave the house, and now we do. Whether or not it will be good is a different story.

The film hits theaters June 20th. Frank Grillo, Michael K. Williams, Carmen Ejogo, Zach Gilford, Kiele Sanchez, and Keith Stanfield all star.

The UK Poster for the Hammer Horror 'The Quiet Ones'

Upcoming Hammer Horror from the makers of The Woman in Black and Let Me In is hitting theatres this April, and although it didn't care very much for The Woman in Black, I do think this one looks quite promising.

“A university student (Sam Claflin) and some classmates are recruited to carry out a private experiment — to create a poltergeist. Their subject: an alluring, but dangerously disturbed young woman (Olivia Cooke). Their quest: to explore the dark energy that her damaged psyche might manifest. As the experiment unravels along with their sanity, the rogue PHD students are soon confronted with a terrifying reality: they have triggered an unspeakable force with a power beyond all explanation.

Review - The Walking Dead 4.09 "After"

A Brave Return and a Brave Journey

With the prison overrun, Rick and Carl find themselves on the road looking for shelter. Meanwhile, Michonne is haunted by memories from the past.

The return of The Walking Dead proved to be a strong one, both for me and for audiences (as it happened to top The Olympics in the ratings, oh burn). After the end of American Horror Story which I wasn't so sad to see end, I just feel as if I needed something else back in my life, a void that both Archer and Face Off simply could not fill, and that was my craving for The Walking Dead.

Don't Be Expecting 'Resident Evil 6' Anytime Soon...

It was confirmed shortly after the success of Retribution that another and final sequel was going to be made for 2014. So now during an interview with Collider about Pompeii, Paul W.S Anderson gave away some details about the upcoming sequel, and when I say details I mean a lack of them.
We’d like to do another Resident Evil movie. Definitely,” said Anderson. “But the wheels aren’t quite in motion yet.
The site also states that Anderson hasn’t begun writing the script, but he did tell them awhile ago that he had a story in mind for Resident Evil 6 that involved a lot of death and would bring the franchise to a close. In addition, they caught up with Screen Gems President, Clint Culpepper, at the junket and he made it very clear that another Resident Evil was a priority and he was just waiting on Anderson to move forward.
